Malcolm X’s PTA and ELAC Team will be cohosting Family Heritage Night on Thursday, November 29, from 6-8pm. This event is being presented in the spirit of celebrating the wide spectrum of cultures represented by our diverse student body. The night will include a performance in the West African tradition by Naby Bangoura, and will feature a potluck dinner where families are encouraged to bring cuisine from their respective cultures.
Seeking Arabic translation!
With the desire to reach out and encourage all Malcolm X families to participate, the ELAC team is partnering with the PTA for this event, and is looking for someone who can help translate the event flier into Arabic. If you or someone you know reads and writes Arabic and can help translate a couple of paragraphs so we can reach out to as many MX families as possible, please contact Rachel Curtin at rachelcurtin@berkeley.net.

Separen la fecha para la Noche de Herencia Familiar
El PTA de Malcolm X así como ELAC son los anfitriones de la Noche de Herencia Familiar, el Jueves 29 de Noviembre, de 6-8 pm. En éste evento estaremos celebrando las diversas culturas que respresentan a nuestros estudiantes. Tambieén contaremos con una presentación del Oeste de Africa, a cargo de Naby Bangoura asi como una cena estilo convivio (potluck) en la que estamos animando a las familias a traer un platillo para compartir que represente sus respectivas culturas.
Se buscan traducciones en Arabe!
Con el proposito de comunicarnos con todas las familias de Malcolm X para apoyarlas a que participen en la comunidad escolar, ELAC y el PTA se han unido para organizar este evento y están buscando a alguien quien pueda ayudar a traducir el panfleto de éste evento a Arabe. Si tu o alguien que conozcas sabe leer y escribir en Arabe y puede ayudar a traducir unos cuantos párrafos, por favor comunícate con Rachel Curtin at rachelcurtin@berkeley.net.
