November 16th, 2021
Please remember that next week is Thanksgiving break, and there is no class from November 22nd - November 26th. Students have been working very hard and practicing their reading skills, so please make sure that they read the books they take home with them, so they can keep it up.

Registrations for Kindergarten and 6th grade is coming up:
TK is a district wide program, so please remember that students need to re-register to be assigned a school for kindergarten! 5th grade students need to register to be assigned a middle school for 6th grade. (Parents of K-4th grade students don’t need to do anything, they just roll into the next grade here at Malcolm X.)

Matriculación para kínder y sexto grados:
El programa de TK es un programa del distrito entero, así que favor de recordar que los estudiantes de TK pronto necesitan completar el proceso de inscripción para kínder. No pasan automáticamente a las clases de kínder aquí en Malcolm X. Los estudiantes de 5º grado necesitan completar la inscripción de 6º para ser asignados a una escuela intermedia.(Los padres de estudiantes de kinder a 4º no necesitan hacer nada, pasan al siguiente grado aquí en Malcolm X sin necesidad de inscripción.)
Noviembre: Mes de la herencia de los pueblos indígenas
El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Berkeley celebra el Mes de la Herencia de los Pueblos Indígenas para conmemorar las historias, tradiciones y contribuciones importantes de las diversas culturas indígenas. AQUÍ es la guía del distrito para ayudar a las familias a honrar y celebrar la herencia de los pueblos indígenas. Se incluyen sugerencias de canciones, videos y actividades de voluntariado para escuchar, aprender, elevar y amar.
